Welcome to La Source, a calm and peaceful place where you can be revitalised. Family run bed and breakfast in Charente Maritime in the west of France. The breakfast is “the full Irish”.

Pour utiliser le Piscine vous devez dégager le propriétaire de toute responsibilité en matière de sécurité pour vous et votre famille. Pour raisons d’hygiéne pas d’animaux dans la piscine. Enjoy a refreshing swim before breakfast or after a days sightseeing. To use the swimming pool you will assume responsibility for your own and your families safety. For reasons of hygiene no animals are allowed in the pool.
Le nom La Source évoque la source du ruisseau “Le Gua” qui serpente à travers le village. En suivant ”Le Gua” depuis sa source vous découvrirez les promenades 5 et 6: Allée du Souvenir, Chemin des Amoureux etc.
La Source takes its name from the spring that feeds the stream “Le Gûa”, which meanders through the village. Follow “Le Gûa” and discover walks 5 & 6, Allée du Souvenir (Memory Alley), Chemin des Amoureux(Lovers Lane) etc.

I’m Anne Lait the owner of La Source and I look forward to welcoming you to my home. My priority is to ensure that all my guests have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday in the peace and calm of rural France. I was born in Monaghan, reared in Louth, 3 miles south of Crossmaglen in Co. Armagh and have lived in Wicklow and Wexford. I came to France to live in 2007, learned the language, integrated well into village life and started my Chambres d’Hôtes (B&B). I am happy to give lots of tourism information about places to visit off the beaten track, from restaurants where a 4 course lunch including wine can cost as little as €11 to where to get good local wines and cognac direct from the producers.
